Auto-Ping Skills
I'm tired of that Nub that refuses to ping his bar for no reason. I'm sure everyone else is too. What I propose is when someone joins the party, their skills automatically get pinged.

promotes elitist discrimination. If you don't like them then kick 'em, you always have that option.

You know everybody would just switch their build to what they like when actually in the party. Not to mention, as stated above, just kick them if they don't show it, or even better - stop pugging.

I would however like an inspect feature, disable it during PvP to not allow cheating but allow people to inspect other peoples skills and armor, make sure they arent using a noob build.

nye right it's worse enough with rank discrimination in pvp

If you can't trust them to bring a good bar, and they aren't pinging theirs, they probably aren't taking one. Just kick them and find a new player.
Also, stop PuGing.

Would never ping my build to anyone except maybe a member of my Guild.
There isn't really any point and its certainly none of their business.
Suppose they have a build you think is wrong, now you may think this gives you the right to lecture them on what makes a good build.
First of all who is the most experienced at GW you or them they may just know something about the build you don't.
Second if they change their build they will be inexperienced in using the new one so prob not as good as leaving them with a build they are happy with.
Third it leaves them open to abuse from idiots who will spam everyone else in the area with don't take the noob.
Most of those who criticize others builds seem to be of the I know what's best its on guildwiki type of player.
Its like knowing 3 chess openings and thinking your an expert, sorry you aren't.
I like experimenting with new builds and varying old ones and its none of your business.
btw when you ping your build back to them are you willing to listen to any comments on your build ? -------- Thought not

Personally, I've never had a problem pinging my build, but forcing someone to do it just seems to me like pure elitism. Anet designed GW for players who want to be able to enjoy the game without heavy influence from other players, and this proposition destroys that.

Better off kicking noobs from the group then implementing a feature that makes up for their stupidity.

In the .001% chance of someone actually finding a new and incredible build that the other million people playing missed who also just happens to be pugging they are gonna be showing it off, not hiding it like a moron and asking people to take them on faith. Those who hide their builds can be pretty much universally categorized as idiots, or at the very least players who have no intentions for teamwork.

Might not be a question about hidding a build, just being tired of morons questioning why a certain skill is on the bar, THAT HAVE PROVEN USEFUL in the mission/quest to be done. And then have to listen too "but my guildi said ..........., or Thats not on Wiki ..................", not everyone uses Wiki builds, some enjoy their own variations of builds. Only morons and Idiots that can't adapt uses 100% Wiki builds.

hmm....
an interesting idea, but i think this would promote more arguing before a group gets going. maybe give the leader and leader only the option to look at the party's builds. maybe a drop-down list on the party bar. this would give him an idea of what the team looks like without promoting every party member to give his 2 cents on every build.
